Customization Manager is used to add the "Images" button to various Dynamics SL screens.

This button, in conjunction with a few lines of basic script language code, activates an ImageLink grid screen. From there, the documents that relate to the accounting screen are made available for viewing. The user can scroll through the related documents (if more than one pertains to the accounting screen) via the category selection buttons and the Dynamics SL navigation buttons.

Information associated with each document

Related description (optional, free form entered by user up to 60 bytes)

Long text description (optional, free form entered by user up to 32,000 bytes)

Date document was scanned (automatically captured)

ID of individual who scanned document (automatically captured)

Date of document (optional data entry)

Image viewing tools

	Scroll vertical and horizontal
	Re-size by increments and dynamically by "Windowing"
	Rotate Image in multiples of 90^o
	Print the image or entire document to any Windows supported printer or Fax
	Email an image or entire document.

Acquire Image

The scanner interface allows documents to be entered from a variety of pertinent locations within the accounting screens. This feature automatically ties the current screen data with the image being scanned. That is, if a specific inventory item is being displayed on the screen, then the scanned image is automatically tied to that inventory item. If a customer invoice is currently displayed, then the scanned image is tied to the customer and the invoice. As such, the scanned image is accessible from both the customer and the invoice screens.

Drag and Drop

Non-scanned documents can be imported into the ImageLink repository with this feature. This feature applies to any document that can be launched by Windows via its extension such as .doc, .xls, .txt and many more. It also applies to email documents and their associated attachments.

System Requirements

Dynamics SL	ImageLink supports versions 4.2x through 6.5 of Dynamics SL.
Imaging Hardware	Any TWAIN-compliant source device (e.g., video cameras, digital still cameras, scanners)
Additional Software	None required. All scanning and indexing software is included with ImageLink. The images are stored in an industry-standard format (Tiff with CCITT Group 4 file compression).
Disk	Images are stored on any NT compatible disk drive
