FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ImageLink Enhancements Announced

Enhancements add capabilities and usability

March 4, 2002 -- The ImageLink document management and imaging add-on for Dynamics GP & SL accounting system has been enhanced to provide additional easy-to-use features.

Hierarchical storage support for documents and images

This revised method of storing documents and images improves access efficiency and helps simplify the archival process.

Direct capture of email documents

Email documents can be dropped into the ImageLink environment directly from Microsoft Outlook.  Prior to this release, email documents could be imported, but only after the document was exported from the email system.

Integrated scanning support for Visioneer scanners

All versions of ImageLink have provided document scanning support via the TWAIN industry standard.  In addition to TWAIN, Visioneer provides a powerful desktop-based interface for its line of scanners.  Visioneer also provides a new ScanDirect interface for its StrobPro scanners.  ImageLink has added support for both interfaces to its scanning capabilities.

Automated Document Feeder (ADF) support

Some scanners have automatic document feeders.  An automatic feeder can help streamline the handling of documents with a large number of pages.   ImageLink now supports  these feeders via the TWAIN ADF interface.

Scanning within a Terminal Server session

ImageLink has always been fairly compatible with applications running within a Terminal Server session.  Within their accounting application, users could retrieve images and other documents.  They could also import documents via ImageLink's Drop Zone.  Now, images can be scanned from a workstation that is running ImageLink through Terminal Server.

Direct email import

Image documents can now be emailed from within the ImageLink viewer.  The user can select to send the currently displayed image, a range of images or all images from within the current document.
